Using the Google Books Tool

by Daisy Montegor

If you have Internet service, you've probably used Google.com more than once in one way or another. However, there are additional tools and search methods other than the simple web searches perform from a toolbar or Google's home page. One of those tools is Google Books. It's a vast collection of books and magazines and everything you need to know about them. Here are some of the ways you can use Google Books for your research and personal interest.

First, in order to access Google Books, from the home page, click on the "more..." link at the top of the page. This will bring you to a drop down list of search categories, or tools that can help you with much more specific searches. Click on "Books" to get started.

Google Books opens up to page showing the covers of some popular magazines and books, under various categories like "Classics" and "Interesting" for your browsing pleasure. On the left is a sidebar of genres, in case you would like to find some popular books in your field of interest. Genres are split into two categories, Fiction-like Literature, Fantasy, and Romance, and Non-fiction-like Philosophy, Economics, and Physics. If you aren't looking for anything in particular, you can also check out the third section of the left sidebar, "Random subjects".

If you are looking for a more specific topic, subgenre, author, etc., you can start by clicking on a genre or type your related keywords into the search bar at the top of the page. You'll see an "Advanced Book Search" link to the right of the search page to specify the author, publisher, subject, etc.,

When you perform a search, the closest matching results display in cover view or list view, depending on which preference is selected on the left. List view also shows a smaller image of the cover, as well as the author, genre, number of pages, etc., as well as links to add to My Library (requires a Google account), look up other editions, and see a description of the book.

If you click on the title of a Book from the results list, you will be redirected to an in-depth page of helpful information as well as a preview of the book's pages. There are several related links along the left that you may find helpful if you find a book you like or want to use as a reference, etc.

* Overveiw-gives a summary of the book * Read-the view you are in when you first click the link, shows previews of the book's pages * Reviews (if available)-tells what others have said about the book * Buy-redirects you to a site where you can buy this book

Directly under these options is a search bar where you can actually type keywords to search for within the text of a book. Compare this to the reading and scanning it would take to find this information at the library!

More options, including links to find this book in a library and see related books are also included, depending on what book you search for. You'll find more books on Google Books than you'll know what to do with! There are even books that are written in the early 1800's! As you can see, this would be a great resource for research, especially on unique topics or when using obscure books and subjects that would be hard to locate quickly in a local library or bookstore. This is also ideal for finding books as gifts or for personal use quickly, and also have a easy way to compare prices among online sellers quickly! For all your book and magazine needs, choose Google Books!

Can my baby read text?

by John Hill

A question, can my baby read text arose in my mind when my baby was growing up and it started saying sentences. When a child starts speaking some sentences of its native language then that would be the right time for a child to start reading. A good speaker requires a collection of vocabulary and that can be obtained by reading. So if you want to make your child a good speaker and good student then it would be necessary for you to make some arrangements for him so that he could start learning how to read.

There are many fabulous learning kits available to purchase from the Internet which can improve the reading skills of a child. You can find these kits by searching for can by baby read text kits. These learning kits would be obliging for your child to improve its communication skills because these kits really help in learning new words and when a child would have good vocabulary then he would surely be able to perform better in school and the child would be able to communicate appropriately. So, it is suggested that your child should read a lot and it is your responsibility to make him doing so.

There are numerous resources on the Internet which offer can my baby read text learning kits and they promise to deliver your package within 24 to 48 hours. However the delivery time may vary from on place to another. Online availability of the learning kits is a blessing for the working parent because they do not get time for visiting the market and selecting a right product for their child. Now one can select an appropriate learning kit for its child by researching on the Internet. All the resources would let you know about the things included in the kit so it would be easy for you to select a good learning kit.

It would not be good to buy an ordinary book for your 8 to 9 months child because the children of this age have the habit of putting everything in their mouth so there is a lot of risk for damage. That is why I would suggest you to purchase a can by baby read text learning kit from the Internet because these kits include the books with a material which is not easy to chew. If you really want your baby to read and learn new things then I am sure that the above given information would be useful for you.

Lights! Camera! Magic!- How To Use Green Screen To Increase Your Photo Business Profits

by Alan Bridges

The two most talked about trends currently are that of Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight Saga", and the long-running Harry Potter books and films. Here's how, by using a green screen and some inexpensive Hollywood magic you can have your clients appear as if they are a part of these magical, mystical worlds.

To turn your client into a Twilight vampire, if they are male and are rather muscular, ask if they'd feel comfortable with their shirt off. Next, have him rub lotion or baby oil over his arms, chest and face (if the client is female, have her rub it on mostly her face and neck). Finally, sprinkle on some body glitter to finish the authentic look.

Have the client stand in front of the green screen, and have the light shine directly down on them. This should really make them shine and glitter, just as the book describes. Shoot at a few different angles and with the client posing in three or four different ways. Then, use your computer and green screen software to place them in a dark, mossy forest or a twilight scene.

As for the Harry Potter fans, have them bring any props or costumes they may have (most rabid fans own these items). Have them stand in front of the screen in their class uniform, robes, or at the very least a nice sweater and dress pants or skirt.

Pose them in a variety of ways, such as pointing the wand at the camera to cast a spell, or holding the wand and blowing as if steam was coming off the tip. Another popular pose is holding their robe open, showing off their pride for their Hogwarts house.

Place these clients against dark backgrounds, such as in front of a large staircase, in a courtyard of an old school, or on the Quiddich field (a football or soccer is a good stand-in).

To perform this magic, green screen software simply removes the green background - wherever it shows through from behind your subject - and replaces it with any image you supply. Photographs of twilight forests, old English colleges, ancient graveyards, any background you desire can easily be placed behind the subject.

Special proprietary "reality integration" in the green screen software will ensure that your subject blends well with the background - and avoid the cardboard cutout look. A few easy adjustments to color and highlights, and you have created a portrait your clients will love.

Book

A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is called a leaf, and each side of a leaf is called a page. A book produced in electronic format is known as an electronic book

Books may also refer to a literature work, or a main division of such a work. In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspapers. The body of all written works including books is literature.
